Here, I poured alcohol onto concrete in the shape of a letter, proceeding to ignite the puddle form with a lighter. When the full form was burning, I captured many photographs of the burn, in attempts to capture the most eligible moment of the flames natural burn process.
After going through letters A-Z, I brought the finding into Photoshop, where I adjusted the threshold of each photo to its most eligible form, again. After adjusting each letter, I saved a copy of each letter as an inverted file so that there is a set of traditional black letter forms, as well as a white set of letters.
